The Polski Owczarek Nizinny, acronym PON, English translation Polish Lowland Sheepdog, is a robust little sheepdog, still considered a rare breed. Once prevalent herders on the lowlands of Poland, they have adapted well to life in the New World. Ideally suited to families, PONs are trustworthy, faithful and devoted to all their "flock", while instinctively suspicious of strangers. Their compact size (17"-20"), luxurious non-shedding coats that come in all colors, and their merry dispositions distinguish the Polish Lowland Sheepdog as a thoroughly delightful companion dog.
